Transnational Workshop 5 – Barcelona

3-5 March 2026

From 3 to 5 March 2026, social economy enabling organisations are invited to participate in the workshop “Advancing Digital Transformation in the Social Economy through Data Use & Applied AI”, a three-day event focused on strengthening data practices, visualisation skills, applied AI literacy and overall digital transformation within the social economy.

During Day 1, the programme introduced key data management approaches for social economy support organisations. Participants:

  • Explored the Catalan Social Sector Database Platform and its collaboration opportunities

  • Took part in a practical session on how AI can help manage, analyse and communicate data

  • Joined a speed-dating round featuring EU projects from participating organisations

On Day 2, the workshop went through data culture and applied AI topics through:

  • Hands-on exercises with data-driven tools

  • Group discussions and peer learning activities

  • A guided visit to the Mobile World Congress (MWC), including a stop at the TIC Salut booth to discover digital tools and solutions developed within the social and public sector

During Day 3, participants continued exploring digital innovation ecosystems through:

  • Curated visits to the ACCIÓ booth and the Mobile World Capital Foundation

  • Participation in the Taula del Tercer Sector event at MWC

  • Opportunities to connect insights from emerging technologies with the needs of social economy organisations

Organised in collaboration with Taula del Tercer Sector, Clúster Digital de Catalunya, and Fundesplai, the event gathered enabling organisations from across Europe committed to building stronger and more digitally resilient social ecosystems.
