VR Theatre

About the project

VR Theatre is a 24-month Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership in Adult Education that enhances the outreach capacity of the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) by engaging seniors as active participants in the digital transformation of the cultural sector. The project trains cultural organisations and adult educators to better involve senior audiences in cultural activities that increasingly take place online.

It develops an innovative methodology for participatory theatre, integrating advanced technologies such as Virtual Reality to foster creative ageing, e-inclusion, and active participation of seniors in community cultural practices. Through international training, local activities, and open-access resources—including reports, a web platform, and training formats—the project strengthens skills among practitioners and promotes wider dissemination and replication across Europe.
