In the face of ecological, social, and demographic crises, social urban regeneration offers a pathway to more sustainable and inclusive living spaces. The SPACE2NEB project brings together organisations committed to social entrepreneurship and the revitalisation of urban environments to transform cities into places accessible to all.
The project aims to identify existing and missing skills among social entrepreneurs involved in urban regeneration, with a strong focus on environmental sustainability. By analysing current practices, SPACE2NEB will develop flexible and transferable social business model frameworks rather than one-size-fits-all solutions. These frameworks will support the creation of viable, context-sensitive business models and will be tested with key stakeholders, including public authorities and support organisations.
SPACE2NEB also promotes collaboration and knowledge exchange among partners, laying the foundations for long-term cooperation. The project benefits social economy organisations, local authorities, urban planners, and current and future entrepreneurs. In the long term, it aims to prefigure the creation of a diploma in social urban regeneration, contributing to the training of future leaders across Europe.
