The Twin Transition for Social Enterprises in Arts and Craft Sectors (TtraSE) project was designed to address the skills gap in a meaningful way and promote sustainable socio-economic development in the arts and crafts sector in the Western Balkans, with a particular focus on social economy enterprises (SEEs).
The core strategy of the TtraSE project is to strengthen vocational education and training (VET) and continuing vocational education and training (C-VET) providers, recognising them as essential catalysts of this transformation and facilitators of the twin green and digital transitions.
To this end, the project activities are specifically designed to equip these institutions with the capacity to lead this change. This is achieved by developing future-oriented curricula that integrate green skills with key digital skills. In addition, trainers and staff are trained to teach and apply these modern concepts with confidence.
By incorporating the principles of the dual transition directly into the educational framework, TtraSE ensures that VET/C- VET institutions become proactive leaders, promoting a new generation of social enterprises in the craft sector capable of driving a more competitive, innovative and sustainable economy in the Western Balkans region.
